Nursing question.?

How much can one expect to earn with a Associate in Applied Science Nursing degree? Thanks for your help!

You earn exactly the same as a nurse with a BSN. The main difference is that some hospitals require you to have a BSN or higher to be a manager and of course if you want to go to grad school which I highly suggest to do. Otherwise, your nursing license is the same as any other nurses.

I don't know off-hand, but here is the website from the US Occupational Outlook Handbook for general career information: www.bls.gov/oco and can type into search 'registered nurse' or such.

In many places like hospitals and nursing facilities, the pay for RNs is essentially the same, whether they have their BSNs pr AASN- they need RNs pretty badly in many places. Right now, I think you can expect to get, on the average, at least $22 an hour to start, of you're an RN. An LPN starts lower, at around $16 an hour, at least in my area. Many places pay even better, some a little less. There's shift differentials for working evenings and nites in most places, adding another couple of dollars an hour to that. Right now, with 10 years experience as an RN with my associates degree, I make $28 an hour (base pay), about the same as the RNs with their BSNs. I am getting my BSN because there's more opportunities like public health nursing, etc., that often only hire RNs with BSNs. A nurse with an AASN degree is nothing to sneeze at!

It depends in what state and city you are. Ca pays high i think &34-38 but the cost of living is high.

In Montana you can expect $13-$16 starting our as a new grad (LPN) but of course MT is the 3rd lowest paid in the country :(
