I have a degree in diet tech, but want to do nursing, did i waist my time? or can i?

yes, it could possibly come in handy, depending upon what area of nursing you want to go into. Diabetic/Dialysis nurses have to do ALOT of diet counseling with patients. Cardiac nurses have to do alot of diet counseling too. You could become a registered dietician also.
