Question in nursing can someone please help answer :)? |
What is the difference between childrens BSC nursing degree and Adult nurse BSC degree. I want to be a 'general' nurse practitioner. Does it make a difference wether i choose childrens nursing or adult for northumbria university to get my RN? You need to opt for adult nursing if you want to be an RN, children's nursing makes you an RCN. For the first year of your course you will all be taught together then in your second year you are taught in your chosen branch. Children's nursing is very different to adult nursing so it's adult you need if you want general nursing. I suppose you will have to have some special training in handling small children. You need to do the adult course if you want to do general nursing practitioner. Doing the children's one will only let you look after children. Hope this helps, good luck. A general adult nurse will treat adults and a childs nurse will treat children. Both will get you an Rn but you are better off doing you adult if you plan on working with adults?????????? |
