Is it best to stay at a Bachelors degree or aim for the Masters in Nursing?

My wife is an RN, just finishing up her BSN and transitioning into an MSN. Her view is that the MSN is necessary to progress. Many people in the profession are pushing for BSN to be the minimum qualification for entry-level. So, if you want to progress beyond charge-nurse, you are going to need your Masters.

Unless you are rich (or the masters is a shortcut), get your Bachelors and let your employers pay for your masters.

in nursing they dont have bachelors or masters degrees
It goes by the following degrees

NA - NURSING ASSISTANT
LPN- Licensed Practical Nurses-
CS -Clinical Specialist
PC- Prescribing Clinician(similar to a bachlors)
RN- Registered Nurse ( similar to a masters)
NP-Resistered Nurse Practioner- ( similar to almost a PHD)Does most of Doctor duties, like sees patients, perscribes meds etc but most work under a Doctor
