Nursing in Japan?

I am a nursing student in Australia and I want to know if I could get a visa to work in Japan from a nursing degree? The degree is a 2yr degree and I would like to leave as soon as I have finished it because I have held off travel for so long now...
I don't know if I could actually practice nursing in Japan since I have little to no comprehension of the Japanese language, but would I be able to obtain a visa to teach english? I know that I could apply for the working holiday visa, but due to my mother having to go in for some serious surgery after I had applied for this visa and had it accepted, I will lose it and be unable to apply for it again I think. I really don't think I should leave her right now because she is blind and now incapasitated...but I don't want to lose my only chance of working in Japan in the near future.

Generally speaking, you will need a job offer in order to get a full work visa. Japan is primarily a monolingual country, so if you don't know Japanese your work options are pretty limited. You can certainly try to find work there, but it's not going to be easy.

As for re-obtaining the Working Holiday Visa, I'd recommend contacting the Japanese Embassy or Consulate nearest you. They can help you determine whether you can re-apply, since you aren't able to use your visa.
