What can i do with an associates degree in nursing without passing the nclex? |
What can i do with an associates degree in nursing without passing the nclex? CNA (or whatever the position is called in your state for 'certified nursing assistant'). You wouldn't even be able to be an LPN/LVN b/c you'd have to take the exam for that license. I had a friend who failed the NCLEX at least 4 times after graduating from nursing school (a VERY expensive private school at that) and she was still working as a CNA. Hospitals will usually hire you based on the contingency that you will pass your boards within a certain time period. Good Luck You will probably be able to get a job at a hospital as a PCA/nurse aide/etc. The hospital will expect you to pass your boards and you will probably make half of what you would make as a nurse. |
