What are the advantages of an AS degree in Nursing vs. AA degree ( transfer to an university)?

Besides the fact that with your AA you could get you bachelor.

I didn't know you could get an AA degree in Nursing. I had my AS in nursing, then went on a couple years after and received my BSN. All in all, I did it the hard way and probably went a full two years more than if I would have just gone and gotten my BSN to begin with. Believe me, you will appreciate haviing your BSN because of the job options and just the respect it carries over an associates degree.

The "S" in AS stands for "Science" & The "A" in AA stands for "Arts"... Since nursing is a science you would want an AS unless you plan on being on a TV show acting as a nurse, then you would want the AS as it is an art.
