With the highest degree in nursing(RN), how much would u make? |
I want to be an RN Contrary to the answer from mjaples....LPN is not an associate degree. A 2 year RN is an associate degree and they earn upward from 15.00 an hour depending on where you work and your specialty. A 4 year RN is a bachelors degree and they make, in my experience upward of 25.00 and hour...this is titled BSN. Hospitals tend of make less than home health...unless you specialize and work in intenive care or step down units...or labor and delivery. You can earn a masters degree and also a Ph.d., in nursing. an associates degree in nursing gets you a LPN. $12-15 hr. my aunts are nurses and they make 15.-20. an hour and it really depends on what kind of nurse you want to be . er nurse , home health care nurse , ob nurse you just need to look to see which one pays better . Have you thought about being a PA? (physician's assistant?) I started RN school when I was 31. Have been an RN for 4 yrs now. There really is never a need to worry about finding a job because of a never ending nursing shortage. Just take your time and find ... Most universities have an RN to BSN bridge program, which makes the transition easier.
