Can a degree in nursing lead to a future job in forensics?

thanks..

Definately, if you check out some of the academic programs at the universities, the new trend is advanced nursing degrees in forensics.

According to vanderbilt universitie's website, "Forensic Nursing embodies nursing expertise in a variety of disciplines:

Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners, Correctional Nursing,
War/Mass Casualty, Child/Elder Abuse, Death Investigation, Legal Nurse Consultaion

They also have positions like S.A.N.E. nurses who are sexual assault nurse examiners. They respond to notification of sexual assault, obtain a preliminary history, conduct an in-depth interview and physical, including a pelvic exam to collect appropriate evidence. The nurse collaborates with law enforcement and may even testify in court.

I included the link for the association of forensic nursing website. You can get more ideas there.
