If I get my master's degree in Nursing, will I be able to go directly into an administrative position?

What opportunities are available to me once I recieve my MA Nursing?

Most definitely, usually a BSN is sufficient. Most of the professors I had in nursing school had their masters. They opted to teach which generally requires a masters. With a masters degree, why would you not want to go for a PA? That is if you want to actually practice medicine. One of my friends received her BSN and after about a year of nursing she got a great job in management. You have a tremendous amount of options with a masters degree in nursing.
Good luck with your endeavors!

teaching at a city college. nursing is about care, not paperwork.

There are many nurses in administrative positions that simply have a BSN and not a MSN or MA in Nursing. Having a master's degree doesn't automatically guarantee you any position in the medical field. Years of experience and how you deal with people and patient success rate will help you climb the administrative ladder. Without experience, how can you possibly go straight into an administrative position? I simply haven't heard of anyone, no matter what the degree, without some serious exposure and experience in the field, automatically climbing to the top rung of the ladder. Of course, the more degrees you have, you have a much better chance of making more money. Good luck to you. :)

it doesn't mean that even if u got all those masters degrees and what nots and if u don't have the experience and expertise.. ur certified but not yet qualified.. all these are just pre-requisites... hospitals wud rather have people with not just a degrees but with hospital experiences... and u can gain experience and take ur masters at the same time...
