I have my BSN degree in nursing and have been a nurse for 6 years. I am burned out! I dread going to work!? |
I have changed specialties, hospitals, and locations. I am just burned out. Is there other careers I can go into that could use my degree, or another field I can go back to school for and change careers in a matter of just a few classes? I think the column Annie's Mailbox (the former Ann Landers column) answered this a couple of months ago. There were lots of answers. You could work on a cruise ship as a nurse, you can teach, you can go into administration, you can work at a non-profit organization, you can work at a company or a school, you can give training courses, there are lots of things you can do. I suggested teaching because I recently read an article saying there was a shortage of instructors to teach at nursing schools. Also, I used to work at a college that had BSN and MSN programs. They had an RN who was a combination recruiter/admissions rep. She had to take applications, research credentials, make sure the student had everything necessary for admission, and advise them what classes to take each semester. **** Me I have Spa parties in my home, others homes, businesses, anywhere you can think of.
