Masters degree in Nursing... is it worth it?

My background is on computers but I will be shifting to Nursing. I will be attending a private school and will be spending around one hundred thousand dollars by the time I graduate (Masters in Nursing). With that much to invest, Im starting to wonder if it is even worth it. I do know they make a lot and is a stable job. What do you think?

If you have the money to spend and if you really want this, I think its a great job to pick. There is a big need for nurses and you will get a job quickly and you should not have a problem keeping it(honestly ever heard of a hospital closing?) So i would say do it!

My friends are Rn's and they make good money, however, they still work alot of shifts. If its what you want to do, then do it. The Masters Degree will get you into a better position eventually, like administrative. Good luck.

Get a BS in Nursing. It will take you a lot less time.
Many institutions offer 2nd degree nursing programs that can get you in and out in 14-18 months.

I am working on this myself. I need to get the prerequisites in before I apply (Anatomy & Physiology, Micro, etc)

Good luck whatever way you deside to go.
