Wat is the salary of a nurse in egypt with a nursing degree from australia?

hi i am from australia and marrying an egyptian man currently in egypt and am currently studying nursing in australia and want to work in egypt as a nurse once i am married to him. i am wondering wat the salary would be like for a nurse with an australian degree? and also would i be able to adapt to egypt coming from australia?

You will need to be able to speak and read Arabic. The salary of Div 1 Grade4 equivalent here is around 200 AUST per fortnight full time.
I know it is crazy, that is one reason that I decided against nursing when I came to live here in Egypt.

i have an English friend who lives in luxor who is a nurse and worked there for a while nursing. i know she does not speak or read Arabic. and i believe she earned a little less than the rate already stated above and in your other question, though this was a couple of years ago. She now works as a masseur in one of the big hotels and apparently finds the work less arduous, and more lucrative. she also told me that she did not find the same respect for her profession as she expected to receive in England.

If you don't speak Arabic, you might be better off working at the Anglo-American hospital, and the pay might be better. See link below. I've also included a link to facilities and doctors recommended by the British Embassy. You might do better working in a private practice, with a physician, rather than in a hospital. As far as adapting, Just remember that you are in their land, it is their way and they won't be changing it to suit you. The position of women in the middle east is very different than it is in Australia. I'm kind of amazed that you would be willing to move to someplace completely different without at least visiting once to see it for yourself.
