foriegn medical graudate Regardless of any degree you may have in another country, you have to take and pass a national nursing exam and be licensed by the state that you plan to work in. Other requirements vary by state--most also require that you graduate from an approved nursing degree program, and that you work a minimum number of hours and take continuing education courses in order to keep your license. You will also have to CPR certified., and for some jobs, ACLS certified. You can't just come into this country and work as a nurse because you have medical training in another country. A nurse's job is very different from a doctors. |
