Is this a good move???

Ok so I want to move to CA. Sort of. I have family there and compared to DC it just seems like there's more opportunities (work, education, health care, etc). Even with my recent leap of faith, (leaving the corporate world to persue my own business), that seems to be working out pretty good so far, but I still don't want to stay.

My problem is I want to take my family with me. My dad may have cancer and I'd like to attempt to nurse him back to health with some herbal remedies I've been researching. Health care such as medicaid in DC sucks so my attempt seems to be the only effort to help him. Luckily he's on board but...

My mom (who has Multiple Sclerosis), I'm not so sure she would go for alot of reasons I can understand... I know it sounds selfish but I want her to be near me since I would hate to be 3,000 miles away if something were to happend to her.

I just feel all around guilty for wanting to go to CA but I don't think I could stomach staying in DC.

I need some advice...

Cool an accomplished person of the world! Ether way your dealing with a deeper issue then just guilt, its purpose! Yep people don't like to amitted it anymore, but family is it. Whats better? Why have lots of money and success if no ones there to care? I mean is just one person enough? Ether way your dealing with a pretty tuff conflict because you don't want to tear your ownself apart, hence the family. Unfornatunely from what you've said you might not have a choose.... Who knows maybe getting settle out in cally for awhile might lure mom out that way too. Does her family live out that way? Is it just your dads? Ether way do what choose allows you to create the most and destroy the lest... which honestly looks like cally.... but the ultimate goal people don't understand in this day and age is to keep your family together as best you can, if not for you, then for your kids, and with that goal in mind make your choose..... atleast you know that you made the one that helps keep the family together, that could attract your mom or the rest to the nest.....
