How do you stop getting junk mail?

I just recieved a letter requesting donations for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. This organization is asking for money to do good things like provide medical exams and education, but also in bold print supports "safe, legal abortions" and the morning after pill which " could prevent more than half of all unintended pregnancies and abortions in the US". I am shocked! Im happy to support org. for veterans, the homeless, St Judes, etc , but I do not want to be solicited to kill fetuses. I am a mother of 2, a nurse, and a Christian and this is just wrong. The reason people like that need organizations of that nature is b/c they support abortion instead of preventing pregnancy and immorality! This they called being a religious extremist in the letter, so be it! How can I not get this letter or anything like it again? I have emailed them personally to remove my name.

I realize that teaching alone does not prevent pregnancy, but the old saying goes, "you made your bed, now lie in it" holds true. I know several people who would love to adopt those babies, for that matter, so would I.

Think about it. They are spending a good deal of money by sending you junk mail. Money out of thier pockets means 1 point for you! Just let them send it and throw it in the ol' trash can.

if you have contacted them requesting for your name to be removed then that is about all you can do. it is very hard to remove your address from junk mail lists of any kind. it was probably just the time of year that they ask for donations and you probably won't have to hear from them again anyway. if you do, throw it in the trash like you would with any other junk mail.

Two answers as you seem to have more than one question

Maintain a minimal profile on the internet. Never supply your email adress to anyone for anything you don't have to. Never reply to a forwarded message or joke, encourage people who you communicate with never to forward any mail to you. Tell them to cut and paste the joke to you directly if you really need to share. Never put your email adress into a website form, assume that it is the same thing as signing up for spam. Keep a spam email adress to use in cases where you have no choice but to provide an email adress. Allways report email spam to your email provider. NEVER EVER EVER reply to an unsolicited email or follow a hyperlink in one. It signals the sender that your account is active and sets you up for more spam.


Planned parenthood isn't stupid or judgemental. They're happy to make sure your donation is used for what your conscience bears if you specify it They put information about safe legal abortions in their mailer in clear language so there was no deception about what your money could be used for. Tell them you want to support anything but young mothers who are in no position to raise a child and can't afford to carry it to term because of their precarious social position or simply the need to work to feed themselves because you believe these women are immoral. Believe it or not they'll respect your beliefs even if none of us can.

Check at the bottom of the mail, it sometimes states if you wish to unsubscribe, click here. If not, block it. I have hotmail, and i could block email that i am receiving.

I have no idea. It seems like every time I remove my name from spam, I get even more from other places.

Please follow this path. Go to ur email page> options> spam protection> click the first circle which says Immediately delete messages> save. Ur bulk folder will always remain empty. It will solve ur problem.
