Can anyone tell me about being a pediatric lpn?

what do you do? are you interested in furthering your education? is this a good job for someone interested in possibly becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner, or something in women and infant care?

I have never heard of a hospital that hires anyone with less that a BSN for pediatrics. Where did you hear that they did? If you want to work in a neonatal unit/ OB-GYN as a NP, work in a neonatal or OB-GYN unit as an RN. Most hospitals wouldn't hire an LPN here either. You may have to start in med-surg while you get experience. Why jump into PEDS if that isn't what you want to do?

A lot of hospitals do not hire lpn's for pediatrics.

You also can't become a nurse practitioner or any other advanced practice nursing profession without a BSN.

Otherwise not really sure what you're asking... its a good job if its what you're interested in
