But I am licensed in VA...?

Hi. I am currently an LPN (4th year) who is presently in the beginning stages (taking pre-reqs) toward my RN. I know I need to get into a nursing program preferably before my 6 year mark is up, BUT an obstacle has come into play. My husband orders will be up in Feb. He cant re-enlist until Dec because his current job is overmanned. (EM3 - Navy)So we wont know until then if we will be stationed somewhere else. (He is up for shore duty). I dont know what to do. Will I be able to do a bridge (LPN-RN) program in another state? Will I have to be licensed there? Will I have to stay in VA while my husband is in another state, just to get my education? How will that work? Is anyone familiar with this type of situation?

4th yr as an LPN...

Have you tried talking to your family support personnel on base, or to your school? Do you mean you have been is school for 4 yrs or you have been an LPN for 4 years? My daughter is also a Navy wife, and altho it is hard, maybe your hubby will have to wait for you to catch up to him just as you wait when he's on sea duty. Good luck.

you can contact the state licening board to find out.
