How does a minor work for you? |
If I major in Nursing and minor in Psychology. How does the minor benefit me? Does it even show up on your degree or no? I have a friend who is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Education. How does that work? Could someone explain this to me?... a minor is a back up plan just in case you don't find a job with your major just yet, but can find one with your minor a minor might appear on your diploma, it might not. it should appear on your transcript. my school doesn't put it on the diploma, but you should check with your school. Your minor does show up on your diploma, just in smaller print than your actual degree. I think it varies from career to career if it will help you, but for me, I have a minor in mathematics which allows me to teach science (what my degree is in) as well as teaching math. It is how I got my first job since I couldn't find a science job straight out of college. |
