Big mistake?

When I was 22 yrs. old, I had a baby out of wedlock, father was in Nam, baby had allergies, I was destitute, had not finished high school, trying to work, walked everywhere or the bus, had been married once ,divorced, he was a great guy, I loved him, like a brother, but, was not in love with him during this difficult time he came to our rescue, til baby's dad got back ,I felt I helped us too, as I obtained my education and helped him finish his, later I married, had two more girls, obtained a nursing degree, retired, now live in a beautiful home have a wonderful life and income, but feel it was ONLY because of his help, I am getting old ,never thanked him, or told him if I ever did anything to hurt him that I am so sorry, in a moment ,of pure stupidity I called his home, his wife told me she was going to call the police on me, get a lawyer and sue me, it almost made me ill, why would someone be that mean and threatening, and was that not his decision to say or make? Do I need a lawyer/

What did you do that she's going to call the police? Why do you need to be worried? One call does not harassment make but my feeling here is that there's a bigger crime that you're worried about.

Not yet. Who knows what her problem was, but she has no grounds for calling police on you, or sue you, just for making a polite telephone call. You are safe.

For what? I say that you rang up a nut job. Don't call their house anymore. She hasn't a basis for a suit and certainly no basis for filing a complaint against you.

Which wife threatened to sue? The babies father or the guy you were married too?

Did she say why they were going to sue and for what?

think about this for a second (you're not in trouble first of all)

maybe she freaked out because you were his only true love; and you hurt him badly, and she doesn't want to rehash things that they continuly fight about. She's scared you're going to come into their lives and turn them upside down.

You shouldn't have spoke to the wife; hang up until he answers, DUH, geeze you don't have any idea how to stalk someone do you? KIDDING KIDDING KIDDING

Good luck and bless you
