Can you go to school to become a RN then decide to go to Medical School? |
I'm thinking about getting into healthcare. I would like to go to a university and get my 4 year degree; A BA of Science in Nursing. I would ultimately like to become a docotor/physician of some kind. My question is: Will my BA of Science Nursing get me into medical school? Or will I have to go back and get a BA in Biology or something? (I'm posting this Q: in the health section instead of education in hopes of getting answers from people in the healthcare field) Yes, you can go get you BA in nursing then go to Med. school. If you choose to do so. Just think of how many years you will be in school. You may want to check out med schools first. I do have a friend that is going for his BA in nursing, then plans on going to Med school. Then reason he gave was because he could work as a RN through med school. that nurse on ER was a nurse and then went to med school and became an M.D. Of course she did it over one season of the show and it was TV, so obviously it really is that easy. |
