Social engineering...why has Diversity become an all-consuming goal?

The social engineers want to artificially adjust the numbers of people in particular places of employment and education. But for some reason, they only place emphasis on whatever fits their agenda.

Fox example, we ALWAYS hear them whining about how there aren't enough women in Science and Math. (Guess it never occured to them that perhaps this doesn't appeal to as many women) But you RARELY hear them bemoan the fact that Nursing is almost all women. When was the last time they had an "awareness" campaign to inform men that they, too could be nurses?

Isn't it time we put a stop to the social engineers, and just let people decide for THEMSELVES what type of things interest them?

Hitler, Stalin and Mow all were "sucessful" social engineers.

The social engineers you speak of are only trying to counteract the social engineering that's been going on since this country was founded.

It hasn't. Conformity was the all-consuming goal. Diversity is just relief from that obsession.

i think the social engineers have little influence anyway. and wouldnt you consider nursing to be science for women anyway. i think people already make their own decisions as far as career. sure they might start in a career recommended to them but do they stick with it when they realize they dont like it.

In some cases, diversity is inarguably really important. Take mental health services. Many black Americans seem to prefer a black therapists. In fact, success rates for therapeutic interventions are highest when the therapist and the client have race in common. Why is that? Who knows?

Well, the issue is that if we want to be able to provide the best mental health services to a diverse clientele, the statistics show us that we need a diverse group of professionals to provide the service. How can we achieve that if all the MDs and social workers in an outpatient clinic are wealthy white people who beat out less privileged minorities by .1 or .2 of the GPA?
