Georgia school system?

I have a friend who just moved to US from Ghana and has a green card. She came with her 3 kids, 5, 4 and 1and half year olds. She really doesn't know where to start and I can't help much because I have no kids. She wants to make Georgia her home. She will be staying with me in Suwanee but we will be willing to go anywhere in Georgia with a good education system for the kids. Oh, and she wants to get into nursing school hopefully next year (2008). Does anyone have any ideas to give her a head start?

my Cousin went to school in Blue Ridge,G.A. that shcool wasnt that bad and he graduate and then he went to a good college. i think she do fine dont woory about thank to bush now we can check the NCLB. so go to the the county you lived in check the NCLB test scores. I'm from Georgia and personally I think most school systems in Georgia are good. I am a teacher as well so naturally I will say something positive about it anyway. How about starting in a small community? I taught not too far from Statesboro, GA and the schools in that county and surrounding counties were great. Also, there's Geogia Southern University so your friend can enroll in nursing school there as well.
