How can I find out what kind of career I would be good in and enjoy?

I have racked up so much in student loans, and have no idea what major I want to do!! I have tried Small animal services, but my back is too bad for lifting the animals. I have tried nursing, and the same thing stops me there. I have tried Early Childhood Education, but the kids are beginning to quickly get on my nerves at my job(in the retail industry), I would hate to see what I would be like if I work with them full time!!!

Help!!! I can add additonal information in response to answers if anyone is willing to help me work through this. If you just have suggestions or links, those would be great as well!!!!

It's free and easy to do hence not a big deal but it might give you some good suggestions. Sometimes they even offer jobs so you might go on and look into those jobs for further ideas before you make up your own mind.

The best way is to get a careers book which lists all the possible careers and go through them until you find one which is suitable for you.
maybe you should get a few temp jobs so you can try out different jobs in different industries and you can find what clicks for you.

talk to your guidence councelor at your college, and maybe he/she could help you.
