How to become a Nurse?

I would like to be a nurse. I need to know what I need to do to start preparing myself for it. I am a junior in high school right now just to let you know. I need to know what kind of education I need to become one. Do I need some type of degree? Do I need to be a certified nurse. Please help!!!

My sister is a nurse; she has a B.S.N. from Baylor University's School of Nursing. It's a full four-year degree, and requires a fair amount of math and science, as well as nursing-specific courses. It entails all the requirements for a registered nurse in the various states in the U.S.

I've also got a friend who is a PhD in nursing from the University of Virginia; her undergrad work was also from Baylor.

The main thing you need to be doing now is to make good grades, and take a variety of courses. Math courses to prepare you for calculus are especially important, as are basic science courses to prepare you for chemistry and biology.

All nurses must take the boards for their state after getting whatever training they will take, and also need to be licensed in the state in which they will be practicing.

I think you need atleast an associate's degree and a certian number of hours in Nursing training, then you sit for the board exams to become a Registered Nurse. That is the minimum that you need to do.

First try nursing a Baby, then switch to someone older
