What made you go into healthcare?

Hi, I am a registered nurse and considering going back to school for my bachelor's degree. I was wondering what causes others to come into this feild and what drives you to futher your education? Where do you work and why did you choose that area? Thanks in advance for responding.

I am a CNA and I watched my grandma die terribly from cancer and could not help her in any way. I became a CNA to take care of the people not thier paper work...I wouldn't go on to be a LPN or RN for all the chocolate in Hershey. I work in a nursing home/ rehabilatation center in PA. I enjoy caring and knowing everything there is to know about my patients and I plan on being a CNA for a very long time or until my back gives out. Everyone is different, my type of caring can only be hands on.
