Dental Nurse interview - should I tell them I have a degree? |
I have an interview for a Trainee Dental Nurse next week, should I tell them I have a Degree (in Geography) and Ma, or just leave the Ma out. All they ask for is a good standard of education. After spending 9 years as an ad hoc field archaeologist, I do really want to make this career change. Maybe in the future I might train as an Hygienist. I'm 31. Any advice? Yes tell them you have a degree but want to go into a different direction. A degree shows a level of commitment and education whether or not it is in the same field. Oh yes definately tell them. It shows you can learn and can make a commitment. You should let them know all educational experiences. Good luck. I hope you get the job you will enjoy it. Dr.J I have served as an interviewer of dentists and dental hygienists for many years and also as a dental and hygiene educator for 35 years. It is my experience that those who are more mature and have more life experience do much better when they return to their education. |
