Which uni is better for studying health promotion, london school hygeine & tropical medicine or UCL?

having gained my bsc in nursing with 1year work experience, i now want to study health promotion at masters level. I am intrested in working at international level (WHO, UN etc. The london school of hygeine and tropical medicine have a 'public health (health promotion stream)' whilst the intititute of Education (affiliated with UCL....I THINK help if am wrong!) is offering 'education, health promotion and international development'. which school is better in terms of prestige? and does the latter course give me any prospects considering my only qualifications are an access to health and human science and my bsc in nursing.

well spotted Lanctore, it is one of them words hehe!

This is a good and common question - which uni is best? But it all depends, I have been to two, one with a really great reputation and one that is looked down upon. I found that the one that had a good reputation offered very little help and was quite difficult compared to the other which had the best teachers, the best help, doors were always open and it was there that I excelled.

For taking your qualifications further I have also learned noone really cares where you did your degree only about the quality of the degree. Also liverpool uni is both a good uni and has a school of tropical medicine and is far cheaper than london too!

UCL as it's quicker to write, well come on it's 50/50!

Am a bit concerned that you want to study hygiene, but can't er.....actually spell it.

UCL without a doubt.
