My husband in thinking of being either a nurse practitioner or nurse anestasist. Which is better for us? HELP!

We have a baby and an associates of general education, switched majors and now are changing my husband's major and getting a bsn. The only question is why should we be a nurse practitioner over a nurse anestasist which makes more? Which of them can work only 3-4 days a week (shifts)? What are the pros and cons of the education and jobs?
