Career help; please help me out if you can! =)? |
I love working with children (preferably infants) however i dont not want to work in a daycare because the pay being so low scares me a little bit (that i wont be able to support myself, my family, etc.) I did want to become a neonatal nurse, but my grades arent that good, and i wouldnt be able to get into a good nursing program (my highschool gpa is a 2.3) Plus, i'm not good with stress and nursing is ALOT of work that i just dont think i am capable of doing. I've taken 4 years of childcare classes in highschool. I'm very experienced, and good with children. Any kind of medical assistant that is not an RN would make similar money - or less - than a daycare provider. Become a teacher in Childcare education. Sweetie, your intentions sound wonderful, but there is a reason they want you to have a lot of education when you are dealing with infants. You basically have the least developed human life possible to be responsible for. First off... stop saying "you can't" (re-read what you wrote!) Yes(!) you can if you set your mind to it AND you have the guts to see it through. Do you? If so, then I'd strongly advise you to check out a local community college. Many have great 2-year programs in health services, including nursing programs. College is so different from high school - and at a community college you could easily get your grades up to the point where you could be accepted into a 4-year nursing degree. You might also consider training to become a professional nanny. Have you thought about that? Nanny's can get paid very good money. But I'd still like to see you go for an Associate Degree. or u can be a genacologist You can get a job working as an assistant to Autistic children. Try volunteering to see if you can handle it. If you are not good with stress, you may not enjoy working with infants. They are a lot of stress. |
