Does anyone know...? |
I have checked into the requirements for an American immigrating legally to Mexico....I found that work permits could be obtained fairly easily for certain fields, but I cannot find anything that specifies what those fields are? I am curious to know if anyone out there knows if persons in the nursing field are a desirable commodity there, when being considered for a work permit? I would think so, given the lack of health care, but wasn't sure. Also, if anyone does know about this, what are the differences in an American nursing license versus Mexican? Are there tests you need to take before practicing in Mexico? Are they accepting of an American nursing degree there, or do they require different or additional education? Thanks to anyone who has info! OnAhhroll-I will likely be relocating to Mexico because my boyfriend is from Mexico and is looking like it will be easier for me to go there than for him to stay here. Would love to be a nurse in America too, but America doesn't appear inclined to make it to where we can both stay here without spending a fortune in money and time, and without us getting married immediately, which I don't want to do until I am ready. Well I dont know about what the work permits. But if u come to mexico to live move by the border and u can cross over into the united states and work there. There is alot of people that cross over everyday from mexico to work and then when work is done for the day they return home to mexico. The united states would pay u alot more money then mexico would. I live in mexico and i am also a united states citizen with 4 united states citizens to be with my husband. It takes a long time to get them to be legal to live in the US. It is much easier for us to come to mexico to live. It is alot different to live in mexico then the US but u will get used to it. GOOD LUCK YIKES...why Mexico when the US has a shortage on nurses, I just don't get it. You are either pulling my chain or need to re-think about this. |
