High school help!?

what are high school requirements for people who want to become nurses? and what is the typical education/career path to take.. what are my options??

I agree, talk to your counselor.

Also, just keep up your grades, take some challenging classes... anything that you would normally do to get into college (I mean, as if you weren't sure what you wanted to do). Scout out schools that have good nursing programs, and contact them to see what they're looking for in an applicant. Volunteer-work will probably come up a lot.

PS: good for you... there is a serious shortage of nurses in the country, and I think it's a tough job that doesn't get the credit it deserves.

Go to collegeboard.com and look around.

Their site reveals ALL.

you should of course have chemistry, 3 maths, 3 Englishes, Anatomy 1 and 2, nutrition and wellness, and a Philosophy course. That's whats pretty much required in VA.

You might want to go and speak to your counselor about this. Many states and schools have four year plans that aid students in choosing the high school classes that will prepare them for the career they are interested in!
