Im 22,Medical Assistant, and I want to continue my education.
I think the first step will be comuity college , I just want to take the prerequisites, I not sure what i really want to be. Nurse is my only option for now, but english is my second language, Im not good at math, but I think if I take the perequisites will help me.
I dont know where to start nor what to do.
what are the steps to go to CC???. what happens if I dont pass the placement test? what should I do if I dont pass it?
any advices ?? thanks , no rude comments plz

Community colleges accept everyone, and they are used to accomodating students for whom English is not their first language. You can usually just walk in, grab a catalog to look over, find the admissions/advising office and make an appointment.

Even if you don't place in the classes you want right away, you can take the prerequisites for them and get into them the next semester. CC is very affordable, and it is a great opportunity to dabble in other subjects whie getting your geneds.

Simply contact you local CC and make an appointment with a councilor. It is free for prospective students.

Thanks
Bill

Have you submitted an application yet? If not, I think that would be the first step. Then, after they process your application, you can probably set up an appointment to take the placement test. At the community college I go to, I was told that there was "no failing grade" to get on the test, it's really just to assess your level of learning so that they can get you into the right classes. I did really well on the English part, so I just had to take some regular English classes, but I didn't do so well on the math part, so I had to take a math refresher course.

Oh, and don't forget to sign up for financial aid, too, if you can. There's likely a financial aid office at your potential school that can help you out with all of that. Good luck!

Go to the admissions office, and apply. once you apply you can register for classes. Make sure to talk to a counselor
