Has anyone become a Nurse Practitioner and a Nurse Anestheitist?

I would really like to do both, But dont really know if that even makes sense to pursue? I would love some advice on what is involved education wise and what the best route to take would be. I am currently in nursing school for my RN.

Either career path would require additional nursing education after you have a BSN degree. I can't see any benefit at all to becoming both a Nurse Practitioner and a CRNA though because the practice specialties for both of those are distinct from the other and it would also require going through two different Master's preparation programs!

You need to think about whether you want to work in a doctor's office or hospital setting as a nurse practitioner seeing whichever type of patients you specialize in such as pediatric, adult, or geriatric, or whether you think you would prefer to become a CRNA. A CRNA can certainly earn more money but you can also put in more hours as you work when scheduled as well as being on call for emergency surgeries etc.

It really depends on what you want to do.
You can work as a nurse for awhile after you graduate or stay in school and continue with your education in either practice.
I've known people in each profession and either way you go it's hard work.
Research your options in each direction, and get through nursing school first, as a registered nurse I know how hard it is.
