I feel Stupid with my Wife? |
Whenever I am with my wife Vanessa, I feel so stupid. It's not her fault, she is always loving to me and always shows me respect. But when we are out to dinner with her coworkers,or at a party, when she is speaking to someome I just get lost.Vanessa is the smartest woman I've ever known, she has PH.D's in Physics and Chemistry, and has several masters and bachelor degrees in several other fields and is the chair of her department at the university.I have a decent education,I'm a nurse, but when we speak I do feel really substandard.I told Vanessa this, but she said she doesn't know what she's doing to make me feel bad,and neither do I.What should I do to make myself more confident,to where I can speak up when we go to one of her functions?Vanessa really is a great gal and does love me,but I am having an inferiority complex? Are you looking in a mirror ? or at least the one that Vanessa was looking in about 10 minutes ago ? Shout out marsupials scare me....because they run fast... it sounds like you dont have much confidence.....you are the man... find ways to feel like you are.....yah know??? idk maybe your wife can help with ways...but i think that would work... Too hilarious! Focus on other things to talk about. Focus on stuff you know more about like current events, sport, ideas and interesting things that are going on, everyone has some say in this. Sometimes talking about the same thing gets boring and people are just waiting for someone else to brings something up. Listen to people talk about certain things too, you will gain more knowledge that way. Don't get down on yourself, we can't all be experts in everything. I am sure you have a lot of interesting things to talk about! this is tough. ask her to tell you what she loves about you. clearly she thinks you're great or she wouldn't be married to you. then focus on what you offer the world as a nurse and a friend: kindness, patience, compassion... You should. Trolly Trollowsky. -An inferiority complex is purely psychological,do not let it take root in your life! You are the man, see?THE MAN. Why dont you just learn from her..listen when she speaks. So that way when conversation happens you will know something about it to speak upon. Your a man and your wife loves you. Im sure shes not meaning to make you feel this way. So take some notes and learn from her or go back to school if it makes you feel better. You don't have to feel stupid just be proud of her a nurse!!!!!!! very funny |
