What is the next logical step for a Certified Medical Assistant with 15 years experience in her education.?

Certified Medical Assistant is a clinic nurse that has worked with young doctors in a family practive residency program. She has looked into community college program for LPN and RN and found that previous studies are irrelevant and would have to start over. Despite her 15 years experience doing essentially the same thing as an LPN, at a family practice program.

A certified medical assistant with this many years of experience under her belt would be a great asset to teach medical assistants and promote their education in all areas (clinical and admin). Vocational training institutions seek experienced medical assistant instructors, but they must be certified in order to teach the medical assisting curriculum.

I have been involved in teaching medical assistants for years now, and must say, whether online or in the traditional classroom, it is VERY rewarding and keeps you in touch with the medical assisting field (rather than changing into a completely different health career.
