ADON at 23?

My previous boss called re: some charge nurse shifts shes offering me. I haven't worked there in almost a year but left on very good terms. I have since been in Home Health instead of LTC- nursing home. This August will be my two yr anniversary since I graduated and began working as a nurse. I am a very good role model. Up to date on any medical, health, nursing practice education I can get in contact with. A+ pt care. I walked in a couple weeks back looking for a position again as a charge nurse. Today while I was there, she said she was looking for an ADON. Was she hinting to me or asking me if I know someone?? She asked how long I've been a nurse and then I asked her what is expected as an ADON and she said "a lot of tracking because its management." I told her I could do that. I have great references, good mgt and sup skills. She said "let me get U in the door 1st." what does that mean? do I have a shot? Or was the offer for someone else?? I'm going for it though!!!!!

go for it the worst she could do is turn you down. your chances sound good to me.

First, the old boss called YOU. If she wanted info on other nurses, she would have asked other nurses.
She asked how long YOU'VE been a nurse.
She said let me get U (YOU) in the door, meaning that she has to confer with her colleagues to get you in place for consideration.
