How many out there believe that troops have higheer education then the civilians ?

Our civilians are the doctors,engine..., nurses,entrepanours,lawyers,teachers,gra... designers, computer designers, administrators, etc.and the tax base workers that feed those those troops and supply welfare for their spouses.?

mos tof the people know that fact. in troops are several technocrats, medicos,.

Say again?

I have been in the services.. I can tell you most of the troops do have degrees... more so than what the public schools are dumping out on the streets today...

the service has all those things you talked about without welfair... go to any public school... like the one you came from and you will see the true idiots... heck just look in the mirror... you dont have to go far to see stupid...

Here is one.

I'm searching for a law and ethics angle to this question --- but cannot find one.

Are you stoned?

That's really not fair.

Our civilians are also fast food workers, customer service reps, garbage men, social workers, store clerks etc..etc..etc... I would say the troops have a higher education because first off you HAVE to have at least a high school diploma to enter the service, then there is constant training from there on out. Oh and by the way, the military income is also taxed just as any government worker. The Military also has Doctors, Engineers, Nurses, Lawyers, designers, computer designers, administrators, etc...etc.... You shouldn't speak of what you apparently know not.

And us troops are doctors, engineers, nurses, lawyers, computer designers, programmers, administrators and tax base workers as well. We do it to defend families like yours.

By chance would your name be Michael Crook?

Not sure what you are getting at, but the education of our troops is between high school and college, and though they may not be more educated or better educated, they are trained in their prospective MOS better than any civilian. Welfare for spouses??? Dude, the military gets paid crap and their benefits aren't much better since the democrat administration cut backs. I have a son in the Army, Sgt. (two years in combat in Iraq) he's a husban and a father (family of three) and he gets paid $21,000 a year...THAT moron is poverty wages! How embarssed are you now?

Our troops are better educated than any other armed forces in the world.
As for feeding them and their families, I am proud and grateful to do it.
Don't forget that there are doctors, lawyers, entrepreneurs, engineers and designers in our armed forces as well, giving their time and sometimes their lives for our country.
God bless all of them and bring them home safely.

What about the officers? They have high educations. They have doctors lawyers and nurses in the military too. So compared to the general population, they might have a higher education rate per capita.

If it were not for those troops and all the ones that came before them, there would not be all these nurses, lawyers, designers and these other white collar jobs so it would seem to be a moot point. Everyone is riding the back of the troops and that is FACT.

Good question..I'm not sure if this woululd be the best answer because I was in the US ARMY years ago and I have met stupid and smart people in the military and in civilian life but I always have respect for any one who served our country and I don't hold stupidity against people who never served because they never saw how cool it is to be a soldier in America....I love this country and I would die to protect it ...would you??

No our civilians are not THE doctors, nurses, (and whatever else you said since you don't seem to know how to form a coherent sentence). I personally know dozens of doctors, nurses, computer designers, engineers, etc. in the Air Force. These people are called officers - they have degrees. And most of the enlisted people I know seem to be more educated than whoever is asking this question.

Are you actually complaining that your taxes are going towards paying the soldiers to protect your country? I think this is one of the main reasons someone would want to pay taxes. This is their JOB and the government is their employer. Where do you think the government gets its money? Maybe you should be complaining about D.C. politicians who work 3 days a week and get to come home every night and not worry where they'll end up next month. Our taxes pay to "feed" them, too.

And paying welfare for their spouses? Maybe they wouldn't need welfare if our soldiers were adequately compensated for what they give up to protect our country (examples: being told where they can live, what they can wear, having rights taken away, being separated from their families for extended periods of time, risking their lives for you). Quite a few soldiers are living under the poverty line.
