What type of education do you need to be.....? |
a specialist surgeon a specialist surgeon & a general surgeon - 4 yr college, 4 yrs med school, 1 yr internship, 5 yr residency Surgeons and residents are all doctors, there is alot of requirements there. why don't you do research and put in some kind of effort? A medical student needs a bachelors degree with a strong science curriculum. A resident must complete 4 years of medical school (be a medical student), graduate, and be accepted into a clinical trainnig program for 3 to 6 years. A general surgeon must complete a residency in general surgery (5 years). A subspecialist surgeon must complete all or part of a general surgery residency and then a subspecialty residency or fellowship (5-7 years). An anesthesiologist must graduate from medical school and do a residency in anesthesia (4-5 years). |
