Do you think our choices are fate?

Sure, some people think that we all have a predetermined fate and others think that freedom of choice prevents that. But, what if making a certain choice IS your fate? In other words, what if you were supposed to make that choice anyway?

I'm currently caught in an education/career choice between what is best for me and what i love to do-- what I'm passionate about. I won a full-ride scholarship that would make me a Navy Nurse, but after doing ambulance rideouts for my EMT class I've fallen in love with working in EMS. I've considered rejecting it to become a Paramedic--- I love it that much. What should I do?

No, I don't think we have a fixed fate! People are so unpredictable that our live can't be planned out like that. I mean, the decision of another can change our lives entirely!

As for your dilemma, follow your heart and do what you WANT to do, not what you feel you have to!

yes i do think that making a choice is your fate.
as in, even though you may think you've changed your fate, its actaully all been decided for you, and fate 'knows' you will pick a certain option etc, and even the smallest things you choose to do determine big events in your life.
Not sure about the career aspect, just take time to think about it and decide what you would really want to be doing. Whichever you pick, it may have all been decided for you....... woooo

I believe something similar to you. It's sort of like, yes I have free will and I'm making choices that affect the future. But because of WHO I am and the circumstances, I am going to make the choices I'm going to make. So things are going to happen, but because of the way I make decisions, not because someone said so.

But I also sort of believe that at any given moment, all times exist and could be observed if we knew how, so I would sort of be able to predict my future, but I would still have to make the right choices.

I think making your choices in life "seals" your fate.

I would rather be broke and happy, the confortable and unhappy.
