How hard is it to get into nursing school? UTHSC specifically.? |
I admit I never intended on going to college or graduating much less so I didnt try very hard in the beginning but now I realize how important an education is. I am a very smart person, my last two semester GPAs have been a 4.0 which brings my total GPA to only a 3.3. I am applying for the BSN program at UTHSC in January. The problem is I had a classmate with a GPA of 3.2 who was trying for the RN program for over a year and no one would accept her. The BSN application process requires an interview which I am confident about. Is it easier to be accepted into the BSN program? I figured not as many students went that direction. I wouldn't mind going for the LVN program but that would mean my previous 3 years of college would have been a waste of money and time. I am extremely nervous about this now because I have taken a lot of time to work hard for this! And the pre-reqs I have taken cannot be used for any other degree so I have no back up at this point. Any confidence boosters? I did take a CNA course and am employed at a hospital. I am hoping that will give me an edge in! They have already offered to pay for my school and give me an externship next December if all goes well! 3.3 GPA isn't bad. And the fact that you have shown improvement is encouraging. Don't go the LVN route, you have spent too much time and energy and are prepared for a BSN program. It sounds like you feel you will do in the interview. Find a way to stand out amongst the other applicants without appearing over confident. Have you worked in health care? If so, that always helps. hey buddy just cool ya .hey dnt get deppresd ya just come to our country we have got so msny intresting courses ya .just free yourself .come here you can njoy education here |
