What is a CNA, what type of education do you need, what is the history of a CNA, and what does it pay? |
A CNA is a Certified Nursing Assistant. They usually work in Hopspitals or nursing homes. Please help me. This is for a project at school. CNA is a Certified Nurses Assitant - and its a horrible job. I did it before I became a registered nurse and wouldn't wish that hell on anyone. Usually, the bulk of CNA's work at nursing homes and have to feed the elderly, bathe them, change the bed pans and diapers. Amen to that, I have been a cna for years, and christ the workload is terrible, always understaffed, and basically your the grunt for everyone, I cannot wait to start college to get my LPN.. God Bless the CNA's!! Report It do not understand. you answered your own question.the pay is not really that good were i lived they started sometimes at min wage.then i knew someone that made 8.50 an hour, if your lucky it could be more. depending in which state. Mi all you have to take is a six week class to be a CNA, i am 20 , my 40 yr old mother and 18 yr old cousin both are CNA's, heard it isnt hard. you need a high school diploma or GED to take. most CNA's become a CNA to either be a LPN or RN. LPN's are higher demand in homes , most they do is pass meds and and shots, RN's higher demand at hospitals becasue of I-V's. Mother in law took GED, went to toledo practical nursing school for one year and went to a home being a LPN starting out at 20$/hour, my mother in collage taking classes to be an RN at the hospital she works at and she will go from 13 $/hour to like 28. LPN can take one year but RN definately 2 yrs school, need bachelors. CNA's more less take care of the elderly from feeding to bathing to clothing, crap jobs 8-10 an hour. |
