Navy? Marines? |
Whats the difference, I want to become a nurse or something in one of them. What are the benefits, and requierments. Does anyone know. Sorry i dont know much about any of them. Which one is better and what education do you need. Navy is the Best according to my Grandfather who wrote a poem about Navy Nurses. In the Navy you're on board a ship where you have the equipment to do the job needed and it's a clean sterile setting.Injured soldier are flow or boated to the ship.Marines you can be anywhere doing your job and it's dirty, very hard to keep infection out.And most always on the move. And you're the one sending the injured to the ship. The marines is part of the depart of the navy and the navy has the doctors who work with marines so technically you would have to join the navy. I was going to join the navy as corpman which is the medical field if you already have a degree and join the navy you can go in as an officer and get paid more. The navy can put you through four years of college for nursing but you have to qualify with grades and test scores. You will then be commissioned as a naval ensign working at a military hospital. The marine corps does not have any such program, they use the navy for all their medical needs. the education and training will be the same. If I remember correctly, the Nav supplies all the Corps' medical staff anyway. If your going medical, go Navy, as the Marine Corp has a very limited (which means almost nonexistent) medical field. Navy covers the sea, and the Marines are a division of the Navy that are ground pounders from the sea. The navy supplies all medical personnel for the navy and marine corps. the Marine Corps, and the Navy are both in the Department of the Navy. |
