1. you will learn the skills needed through school, and then on the job. you have tobe able to handle high levels of stress, and deal good with people.
2. you require a nursing degree, yoiu can take a two or four year course, your training will be part of school, and again a lot on the job. Once you have your nursing degree, you have to take your NCLEX (test to get your nursing license)
3. you work environment will vary, you have a lot of options as a nurse...doctors office, hospital, home visit, nursing home, rehab, etc etc.
4. hours depend on if you are full time, part time, etc. generally most hospitals have 8 and 12 hour shifts.
5. the actual work done will vary depending on where you work. in a hospital you would primarily do hands on care of a patient, or patients. how many depends on staffing and acuity level. Anything from dispensing medications, physical assessment, taking off doctors orders, hygiene care, advocating for your patient, dealing with families, doctors etc.
6. more or less what i covered in the last answer
7. Nursing is an evolving career, and nurses are in high demand, chances of getting a nursing job once you have your degree/license is pretty high.
8. salary varies from state to state, and hospital to hospital. i started at 19.40 an hour
9. the most rewarding for me is when a patient that should have died comes walking back on my unit to say hi. the feeling that you are doing something that is so life changing for some people is not replacable.

why don't you go ask these questions at a college?
