Advice on how to enter into a career in counseling...?

I have a degree in Biology from UC Irvine, 1996. I was in medical devices marketing for 7 years when I decided to go into nursing. I learned that nursing in general wasn't something I wanted to do, but I did find that I loved the patient interaction aspect. I would like to get into counseling, though I am not sure what specific area. I am leaning towards kids or teenagers. I am 32 years old, so I'm hoping not to have to go to school for 4+ years. Like I said before, I do have a BS in Biology and some nursing education behind me. Does anyone have any suggestions for entry level type positions in a counseling field?

I think a pediatric hospital is your best place to start.
