Can I be a psychiatric nurse if I did not have a high school education? |
I am an early school leaver,I did not go to high school, can I still be a psychiatric nurse? I am studying care at college, someone told me that by doing the care course,I can climb up? Did you need a GED to get into college or have you not enrolled in the program yet? Generally nurses (RNs or LPNs) must have a GED or diploma to get into a program and to complete it. I am a registered nurse without a highschool diploma, if one can pass entrance exams and have the required prerequisites that should be sufficient. You can have college courses without highschool courses. The school offering the training will have the correct info and help you plan your course. You might have to do an access course depending on the level of the course you're on. If you're willing to work for it you'll get there. For a diploma course you need the equivalent of 5 GCSEs. NO |
