i am a nursing student who needs in teaching a hpertention patient who has a second grade education about how to care for his condition

make him fell apreciated for what he nows ... and then look sad when he answer wrong for what u want to teach him .... reverse psichology

KISS- Keep it Simple & Short.

Take your pills.
Throw away your salt shakers.
Go for a walk every day.
Only ONE cup of coffee a day (plus maybe another cup of decaf)
Lose weight (Then he is the nutritionist's problem; you are allowed to write a consult)
If he is stressed to the max, write a mental health consult.

And don't use any of those fancy words you learned in class!
