CACHE Childcare and education help? |
i am currently studying CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Child Care and Education at college. when i finish this course i was wondering what jobs i could do, i have searched the internet but cant find much. i dont want to work in a nursery or a school environment and also not with loads of kids. i was thinking i could be a childrens nurse, what other jobs could i do if i change my mind about going into nursing? a lot of employers will recognise this you could look into social work, support worker, care assistant, psychologist, instructor, conductor, nurse, personal careers advisor, therapist.... theres lots of ideas. Some may require more training though. you could work for an advisory team like Early Years or Pre-school Learning Alliance being a development worker. You could also work in Children's Centre as a community nursery nurse doing sessions with children and parents. With the course you have done there is always going to be children around though, comes with the roles!! Organisations like Barnardos have projects where they need a variety of staff with child development experience. the idea just suggested that you could or should go into advisory work when you have yet no experience in actually workng with children is as naiive as it is horrifying. but your idea of focusing on the nursing route is a good one...test it out first to see if it matches up to your expectations...volunteers are often welcome! the course you completed has shown you are capable of academic study you can use that experience to get yourself into another course which is more to your liking...good luck!! |
