Nursing, nurse practitioner or physical therapy? |
I'm interested in both but cant decide which profession to jump into....right now it seems that nursing school is a little quicker and the least expensive but which one will be better in the long run....although the education is expensive i know that in the end of the pt program you become a doctor of physical therapy..will it make a difference.....is it equivelant to a nurse practitioner or vice versa?...what options do either profession have and which seems better in the long run even with salary?....anybody out there with answers would greatly be appreciated. its such a hard decision when you like both fields....i happen to be male too dont know if that makes a difference in either field. Nursing seems like a quick shot for good money, but realistically, the RNs who really make bank are the ones who've become nurse practicioners. So, they've put in their hours as a regular RN, but then go on to complete further education in the long run. I really have a lot of respect for NPs...they are very knowledgeable and highly sought after...yet, you have to spend time getting experience in order to become a good NP. PT. You can also get a PhD in nursing. |
