How long does it take to become an registered nurse. having no previous college education..?

I have to take the basic math..because i scored low..but everything else i scored good.

It takes about 2 semesters of prereque's. Then you can apply the actual nursing part of the program, which is 2 years for an associate's degree. You can be done in 2.5 to 3 years with all of it. Depends on where you live, but there may be a wait to get in, since they only take a limited amount of people each year.

Assuming you have a high school diploma......at least two years. An associates degree in nursing is a minimum two year program, but may take longer if you need to take some preperatory courses.

It will take you about 2 1/2 years if you go full time & don't screw around.

It takes a bachelor's degree (4 years) to become a registered nurse. Check with your local hospital; some have nursing programs where you get your degree while working and taking classes. That is how my sister got her RN. You can always start at a community college and get your CNA and LPN first, then go on and get your RN.

There are two types of programs: two year and four year. The four year one will pay a little better and give you a few more advantages such as being able to teach classes to staff at assisted living homes etc.

In order to get your RN licenses, you must go to school for 4 years beyond high school and earn your Bachelors degree.

It all depends where you live, in Ontario, Canada to get a Registered Nurses Degree, you have to go to university, we no longer have college trained Registered Nurses coming out of schools. It takes 4 years and i'm unsure of pre requisites, but you can apply right into the program.

If you check out your local college and university websites or make some telephone calls, i'm sure you can figure out the information you need.

Good Luck!
